Not particularly heraldic but interesting from a Cheshire historical point of view, here is a Time Team video showing the dig to reveal Poulton Abbey in Cheshire, the predecessor of Dieulacres Abbey in Leek. Poulton was granted the land in 1147 and the monks later moved to Leek in 1214.
