My anonymous friend the phantom fax sender has struck again and seems not to have heard my earlier pleas. This morning I received a one page fax of a photo copy/ scan of a page from Debrett's.
Clearly my friend is anxious that I take note of the contents of the page and it is quite possible that he wishes me to do something but without any form of note as to his intention or reason for forwarding the page, he is wasting his time; it is a one way conversation and right now, I am not even sure we talk the same language!
In the forlorn hope that the phantom faxer is reading this, I repeat; you are wasting your time unless and until you actually talk to me.

Unidentified arms quartering Birchells.
I am in the process of preparing a small illustrated talk and would like to know a little more about the arms quartering Birchells as recorded in the Cheshire Visitations of 1580. I copy below the pedigree and have added my own images of the arms. Does anyone know the origin of the arms Sable, three chevronells Or, each charged with as many fleurs-de-lis Gules ?
